Day 26 - 19 July (Hot Hot Summer!)

오늘 날씨가 어때요? 뎌워요!
How is the weather today? Hot!

Today's weather so warm! Fortunately, it's not as humid as it is in Singapore. So you won't perspire much. Since the weather's so nice, we decided to go take a nicer photo of Korea University!

View of the buildings outside of C-J International House level 4 lift lobby.

Shuttle bus!

Look at how bright the sun is at 10am (Singapore 9am)!

Beautiful! The standard building which everyone would take is this!

The garden in front of the building above.

The route which the shuttle bus travel through everyday.

An aisle with beautiful trees.

WooDang Hall, where I have my lessons.

저는 식당에가요 밥 먹어요.
After having lunch, went up to level 6 to read the lagging social psychology readings. And we saw a drama there. I think a guy was trying to pacify a girl. Both has American accent but are Asians. Then the girl doesn't seem to want to entertain the guy. I don't know what happened in the end cos we have to go for Korean Lesson.

My lunch! Spicy tofu soup. Tastes like instant noodle soup.

학국어 를 너무 개미있요! (Korean Language is interesting!)
Today's lesson was on numbers. The numbering system used for counting is quite complicated after number 6. I can't get it right! We also learned money. Quite useful and easily picked up cos we are more likely to hear that everyday.

Some sushi rice from a BBQ place.

This is how you should do it!

Here comes the cooked beef! 너무맛있어요!!

계란 (egg)

Korean Language practice time!
일 이 삼 사 오 육 칠 팔 구 십 백 천 만 - for money
하나 둘 셋 넷 다섯 여섯 일곱 여덟 아홉 열 - for counting

I went to these websites to get my Chinese name translated to Korean.
黄铭伟 becomes 황명위 (Hwang Myeong Wi)

http://www.zonmal.com/ - type in your Chinese name at the top left box.
http://www.kawa.net/works/ajax/romanize/hangul-e.html - to get it romanized.

Day 11 - 04 July

It's 4 July today!

Happy Birthday to Alvin Cai!!!!

Hope you are enjoying your big day in Singapore!!!
I'll be back soon, in 5 more weeks. Though I want to stay here longer, but I can feel my home bed calling me. Hahaha. It's not bad here just that I need to have a greater greater greater command of Korean Language. Rebels, we must visit Korea one day for a holiday!!

Today was quite tiring. Didn't pay a lot of attention during lessons. Could be due to the insufficient sleep yesterday, and probably lunching at the wrong hour. Usually Prof Shige Oishi will release us early, but not today. So when I went to the cafe, there wasn't much left and I can't figure out what some of the food are, hence, it's only this small portion for lunch.
The yellow thing is a pancake with chocolate sauce.

Korean lessons are more and more interesting! Though there are tonnes of vocabs we need to memorize, not forgetting the grammar and the spelling of the words. Since Paul can't make it today for Ginseng Chicken, we decided to postponed it to tomorrow. And it's been a long time since I last ate beef, and this shop sells great barbecued beef! And we tried cow's intestines as well. First time trying though. Quite chewy, tastes like pig's intestines, just that it's more chewy.

 Waiting for the food..

I think this is their appetizer or something. Jun said it's blood cubes inside.

The BBQ beef and cow's intestines! YUMMY!!!
But I sort of miss the egg roll I had on Sunday.

Red bean ice cream after dinner. Sudden craving.
Its nice, could be even better if there are more red beans!
